Privacy policy

What Gardiv stores, what remains in your browser, and what commerce providers receive.

Last updated August 7, 2026

Launch review required: This policy reflects the implemented architecture. The site owner should confirm the final analytics, payment, contact, and jurisdiction details before production checkout opens.

The short version

Your garden-plan inputs and saved free plans remain in your browser. Gardiv does not require an account, and the planner does not send household size, crop choices, growing-space details, or frost dates to a Gardiv server.

Data stored on your device

Gardiv uses IndexedDB for planner drafts and locally saved plans, and localStorage for lightweight interface settings and a time-limited premium entitlement token. You can remove this data through your browser’s site-data controls.

Approximate location

The launch planner uses manually entered frost dates and does not request location. If an optional nearest-climate-station feature is introduced, browser geolocation will require permission, coordinates will be used transiently to select a station, and precise coordinates will not be retained by Gardiv.

Analytics

Gardiv may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand page visits and coarse product events such as plan generation or export use. Event payloads must not contain coordinates, crop lists, household details, growing-space details, or plan contents. The production analytics provider and its policy link must be inserted here before activation.

Purchases

Stripe processes checkout and payment information under its own privacy terms. Gardiv’s entitlement service stores a hashed license lookup, Stripe payment references, product and status fields, and timestamps required for validation, refunds, disputes, and support. It does not store card details, full Stripe payloads, garden-plan data, or plain-text license codes.

Contact and corrections

If you email Gardiv, the message and address are received by the configured email provider and retained as needed to answer the request. Do not send sensitive personal information. Privacy requests may be sent to privacy@gardiv.com.

Changes

Material changes will update the date on this page. Gardiv will not quietly move private garden-plan contents from browser storage to a server without an explicit product decision and updated notice.
